Just sharing a little bit about myself (Helen) and business partner/owner (Grace) small business of making Stoma Pouch covers for you all.
This started from when our mother/mother-in-law went through a bowel cancer surgery, she was very concerned about getting a stoma and how she would cope. While my sister-in-law Grace was visiting her, she discussed an idea to make Stoma Pouch Covers to go over a stoma bag to provide a different choice and way of dealing with her upcoming journey with a stoma. While Grace was in the hospital talking to her mother another lady next door to her said could you make up a couple for me, for those days I would like to try clothes on in the changing rooms. A Stoma Pouch Cover would let me have bit of privacy/protection against what others think.
When Grace mentioned it to me (Helen) I said that would be a great idea to provide a different option for people living with a stoma.
Grace
Grace, the founder and product designer, has a medical background, having worked in hospitals and rest homes for over 20 years.
Grace has worked closely with infection control on these products and they have all gone through a new product evaluation committee.
Helen
Helen provides additional administration support for the business by the way of using her professional skills in correspondence and marketing.
Helen loves to provide great communication with her clients/support people and she is very passionate about helping people out with their design requirements for all products.
